一项工程，甲组３人８天能完成，乙组４人７天也能完成。现在由甲组２人和乙组７人合做，多少天可以完成这项工程？

数学题解答：这道工程问题解答的难点在于如何去衡量工作总量。这项工程甲组3人8天完成，相当于甲组需要24个工作量：3×8＝24；乙组4人7天完成，说明乙组做需要28个工作量：4×7＝28。甲、乙两组同样完成这项工程，工作量的比是24:28=6:7，也就是说甲组6人做的相当于乙组7人做的。
