分羊的故事：从前有一个老牧民，临终前留下遗言，要把17只羊分给三个儿子，大儿子分得二分之一，二儿子分得三分之一，小儿子分得九分之一，并规定不许把羊杀掉或卖掉。

这三个儿子怎么分也分不清楚，只好求助于当地一位有名望的老人。老人牵来一只羊，把总共18只羊的二分之一即9只羊分给了大儿子，把18只羊的三分之一即6只羊分给了二儿子，把18只羊的九分之一即2只羊分给了小儿子，剩下的1只羊是老人自己的羊，这个遗言解决了。
