While most people may see social media as a way to share their personal activities – what they ate, where they ate, where they’re going on vacation, how they feel, #OOTD, etc. – we can no longer deny that there are other applications of social media.

Of course, there is social media marketing which benefits businesses big and small, but on the “good” side (that is not to say the above are bad), there is the connection between social media and law enforcement. And a growing one, too.

More and more, local police departments and even larger government agencies are turning to social media to support their efforts in enforcing the law.
