求下面图形的周长。（单位：厘米）只告诉了三个条件，有三条边的长度分别是3、9、12，其余边的长度都不知道，这样能算出周长吗？是不是题目出错了，还缺少条件？资优网告诉同学们，其实这道题是可以做出来的。下面就跟大家分享一下做的方法：

首先我们要知道：周长就是封闭图形一周的长度。也可以说是围成一个图形的所有边长的总和。这里的边长不包括图形内部的线段，仅限于图形的四周的线段。

这道题目我们可以把图形的周长分为上、下、左、右四个方位来看。这样就好解决了。上面的三条线段合起来跟下面的一样，是12。在内侧靠右的线段上截取3CM，剩余的部分移到最左边，正好合成9CM。这样左边和右边都是9，在中间部位还多了两个3CM。这样周长就可以算出来了：

12×2+9×2+3×2＝48（CM）

看图能不能理解？红色的左移到最左端，绿色的两条线段上移到最上端，与原来最高的一条接起来。
