由于两车在相遇时所用的时间也相同的，所以速度的比也是客车和货车所行路程的比。

所以客车行了：240 ÷ 6 × 8=320（千米）

将两车相遇时各自行的路程相加，即得全程。所以全程就是：240+320=560（千米）

答：甲乙两地相距560千米。
