5×2=10(平方厘米)

小正方形的面积（即边长乘边长），就是圆的半径的平方（因为正方形的边长等于圆的半径）。

所以，圆的面积是：3.14×10=31.4（平方厘米）[ps:这里的10就是半径的平方。]
